On the evening of November 22, the 6th Sports Principals Annual Gala of the Joe Tsai Foundation was held at the Nanxun Campus of ZUWE. Joe Tsai, founder of the Joe Tsai Foundation and Chairman of the Alibaba Group Board of Directors, attended the event. The event brought together numerous distinguished representatives from the fields of education, sports, culture, and philanthropy, including Deng Yaping, Yang Wei, Liu Shiwen, Zhang Weili, Xie Zhenye, Sun Yue, and Zhao Lina. The gala announcedand honored the principals selected for the 6th Sports Principals Program. Qian Tianguo, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZUWE, Tang Yuantong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Li Zhenghui, Vice President of ZUWE, were invited to attend the event.
It is reported that the Joe Tsai Foundation was officially established in August 2018, with its registered office located in Nanxun. In July 2019, the foundation officially launched the "Sports Principals Program." Over the past six years, the program has attracted more than 4,300 principals to apply and has selected 61 "Sports Principals." Through various platforms such as seminars, exchange activities, and principal workshops, these principals have continuously promoted the coordinated development of regional sports education, benefiting an estimated total of over 2.8 million teachers and students.
